Hi,
I’m very curious of the phrase:
“I am looking to start a business and career based in using role playing games in education”.
This is a topic I’m searching for presently. Do you have practical experience, or know others who have? I’m an activist in a NGO dedicated to introducing progressive teaching methods in schools here.
Sincerely,
Guntis V.

P.S. Your words about difficulties doing the legwork are speaking of smth. very familiar. Look at http://www.davincimethod.com (not to confuse with “DaVinci code!), you’ll find very thorough explanation and tools in the book!
I have friends in the gaming industry who are interested in using role playing games in educational contexts, and I have friends and colleagues in education that have been looking to adapt games into the curriculum. My practical experience comes from a lifetime of playing and running role playing games for both adults and youth, and I have see the real benefits of contextualized learning in a persistent simulation environment. I would love to discuss your work with you directly, if you are interested.
Total abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself.
