Goddamn it. I’m still waiting to hear back abou the job. I pinged the hiring manager on thursday, and he hasn’t replied. What does that mean?

Maybe he’s blocking pings. I know that if you try and nmap something that’s firewalled against pings you have to add -P0. From the man nmap(1), “This allows the scanning of networks that don’t allow ICMP echo requests (or responses) through their firewall.” Try again with the -P0 flag.
