Goddamn it. I’m still waiting to hear back abou the job. I pinged the hiring manager on thursday, and he hasn’t replied. What does that mean?

I still have to get around to responding to the latest in this debate I’m involved with over gay marriage with Mark’s mom’s husband. I won’t call him a step-dad, because the man has not earned that right. He comes off so arrogant, it just drives me crazy. And he thinks he’s debating from a rational standpoint. Anyhow, every time I think of going to finish my response, my blood pressure rises. I will wait until the afternoon and I’ve done all my work, otherwise my days’ gonna get shot, like it did on Friday. It wrecked my productivity.
sigh. Why must there be stupid hateful people?
Okay, weekend’s over and strangely I just don’t feel rested. No matter, it’s just work anyhow. Speaking of work, Doodle Labs interviews their last candidate today, and they make a decison on who they’re hiring tomorrow. I wonder how this is all gonna turn out…
Jason moved up to the north bay over the weekend, and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s a new era in their lives, and in our lives being so close together. The real trick is not to overwhelm them with attention right out of the gate, as I might be tempted to do
> But seriously, this is frickin’ awesome.
I finished up the first hump of my consulting project for Stanford/Reuters, so I got a little time off Saturday night and all day Sunday. Oh my, almost a real weekend! Except I got busy with other stuff too. I think I might need to simplify.
Jason, my friend and co-creator is on fire. He’s working hard churning out new material for our soon-to-be-comic, Horizon 2150, and I’m getting a little excited myself. Tonight, after I work on my mundane consulting work, I hope to get a period of time into which I can jump in and start writing out some script myself. You guys don’t even know how cool this is all going to be. And this isn’t just the words of a creator in love with his work — this is really gonna blow your socks off.
Sigh. Okay, Monday again. Spent the morning at home waiting for a Dryer repair guy from Sears to fix my drier — evidently the motherboard went on it. My dryer has a cpu. Go figure. Evidently this happens all the time. What a fucking joke. Must be running windows.
Still waiting to hear back on the Larkspur job — just in limbo on that one.
Went to Crystal Method on Thursday — rockin’ time, and the concert was okay too. Had lots of fun. Stayed out late. Talked, bonded, explored creativity.
I’m still waiting for my life to slow down. Gotta work through a few commitments first. Sigh. Monday monday.
Today I went in for my second interview with a company in Larkspur who I thought for sure would have passed on me, but I guess I’m smarter than I thought. It promises to be a lot of fun, a really big challenge, and will keep me busy and on my toes. They haven’t offered me the job yet, but the fact that I came in today and talked to HR and the rest of the tech team is a good indication that they are interested. I’m excited. I am sure I’ll find out soon, one way or another. I’m just trying to stave off the feelings that I’m a fraud — you know, the same internal self-doubting voices you always here when you push yourself to the edge of your abilities and maybe just a teensy step over? But, I know I’m smart and capable and can do anything I put my mind to. Cross your fingers, everyone!
