   The after shots were taken in bad lighting, so you don’t really get the full effect. I had highlights added to my hair to give it a more textured feel. I like it.

   It’s the end of an era. I’m proud of you. Save the hair chunk for Eli, so when he sees photos of you from your Yoof, and he says, “Dad, there is NO WAY you looked like this,” you can crack out the old braid and wave it at him.

   It’s not so much an end of an era, but a beginning. I feel much more freed now that I’ve made the change. Can’t hold on to the braid — sent it in to Locks of Love, an organization that makes wigs for children that are going through Kemo or have allopecia, etc. It’s a great organization, and I was very happy to help some kid get through their day with one less thing to worry about while they fight for their lives.
